It’s been a while, but here’s a visual development piece I did for an overseas show.

Here’s a couple of my favorite BG designs I got to do on Powerpuff Girls. In the storyboards, the scene called for a fancy and rare car dealership. Instead of the usual European cars that most people would go for, I went with my love for Japanese automobiles. I was lucky enough that my dad bought a brand new FD RX7, when they first came out in 1993. So I had to throw it in the scene along with my favorite JDM cars.

A little late in posting these, but here are some of my favorite backgrounds I got to design for The Powerpuff Girls’ “The Power of Four” special where Bliss gets introduced.

I was cleaning up my computer and I found these. From a past project that never got past the development stage. It was fun trying out different styles for the film. These were from a more realistic visual style. It was probably the 3rd version we were trying.

I got to design some of my favorite sneakers that I own, and sneak it into a PPG episode!

A few layouts I did for a show that I tried testing for, a while back. It was fun to try, even if it proved unsuccessful.

It’s been tough trying to keep up with the PPG episodes that have aired and the designs that I can actually post and share, so here’s a few that I know I can definitely post. These are a few of my favorite BGs that I got to design for the “Secret Swapper” and our Halloween episode.

Bonus: I was finally able to sneak in a car that I had for years and years.

These were some development pieces I did for “Future Worm”, some time in 2014. I was asked to design the main character’s room and the lunchbox/ time machine, and one random area.

The final look of the the show turned out drastically different, and personally I think for the better. Either way, it was pretty fun working with the creator, who was super nice, and open to lots of ideas. When we were going over the designs, he mentioned he was taking his son to a Paul McCartney concert that day. Cool dad…
